Sonoma County Winery Recommendations

Sonoma County offers a wide range of scenery. Everything to grassy hills, oak forests and redwood rainforests. Sonoma County also has mountains too. The best weather in Sonoma County is February and March.

Sonoma County is the home to over 200 wineries that offer tours and wine tasting. You’ll find the people from Sonoma County are laid back and in less of a hurry than your usual city in California.

Usually the employees working the tasting rooms are the winemakers themselves, or the owners, or family member. They are pleased to answer questions for you and tell you everything there is to know about the grape growing process, the fermentation techniques, and everything else involved in the wine making process. Remember there is no such thing as a stupid question. The only way to know about wines is to drink and ask questions. More than half of the wineries ask for a $5-$10 tasting fee.

The vineyards in Sonoma County are usually small and family owned.
