Recommended Napa Valley Wineries

There are several wineries in Napa Valley.  Of course, it would be impossible to visit every winery in Napa Valley on one trip. Here is a list of some of the wineries that get lots of praise and are recommended by many. Rutherford Hill Winery-This winery not only offers great wines, it also offers cave tours. The tasting room requires a small fee, but not only do you get to taste some great wines, but you also get to keep the glass. Rutherford Hill Winery has some fabulous picnic places.

Rombauer Winery – This is a smaller winery with excellent wines. The tasting room is free and is located on a hill above Silverado Trail. This winery offers art, picnic areas, walking trails and an excellent view. Dean and Deluca Grocery and Café-I would have to say this is the only grocery store that I’ve heard of that also has a bar. This store is a great place to grab sandwiches, salads and anything else your heart desires. Not only do they have their own bar, but they’re next door to V. Sattui Winery.

V. Sattui Winery-This winery offers a free tasting room and has excellent places to picnic, which is convenient since Dean and Deluca Grocery and Café is right next door. The wines are only sold at the winery, so be sure to stock up.Clos Du Val Winery- This winery is located along Silverado Trial and offers some excellent wines to taste for a small fee. If you buy a bottle, the fee is refunded though.

Clos Du Val is known for their big red wines and offers 25% off if you join their quarterly wine club, which involves wine delivered to your home.
