Bothe Napa Valley State Park
The Bothe Napa Valley State Park is located in the heart of Napa Valley. The park offers everything from picnic areas, camping, swimming, and hiking trails. Be sure to bring your wine and cheese to the picnic areas. You can also horseback ride in the state park too. Reservations can be made at the Triple Creek Horse Outfit. The park is located 5 miles North of St. Helena and 4 miles South of Calistoga on Highway 29/128.
Many birds can be found here, including six different kinds of woodpeckers. The crow sized woodpecker is one of them that can be found in Bothe Napa Valley. On some occasions, you may be able to find a spotted owl perched in a redwood tree.
